
In the doctors' perception, the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein is considered the best in Brazil, points out Datafolha survey. The institution, headquartered in the Morumbi neighborhood of São Paulo, was the most cited, with 36% of the mentions in the spontaneous survey, in which no option was presented, regardless of specialty or whether it was a public or private hospital. In this category, in second place, is Syrian-Lebanese Hospital, also from the capital of São Paulo, with 19% of the citations. In third place, there is Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP, with 3%.

In the specific category of public institutions, also spontaneously, the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP is in first place, with 41% of the citations. In second place are the USP University Hospital (HU-SP) and the Porto Alegre Clinical Hospital (UFRGS-RS), both with 2% of mentions.

The professionals also elected the best public hospital in oncology, with the Cancer Hospital of the State of São Paulo of the Hospital de Clínicas (Icesp/HC-SP) coming in first place, with 21% of mentions. In second place, all tied with 1% of mentions: Hospital São Paulo (Unifesp–SP); Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (UFRGS-RS); Hospital Universitário da USP (HU – SP) and Ophir Loyola Hospital (SHOVEL).
Doctors also evaluated private hospitals according to 14 criteria: eight infrastructure and service indicators (general infrastructure, clinical staff, high complexity, advanced equipment, investment in technology and innovation, quality and safety in medical care, nursing and hospitality) and six specialties (gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, endocrinology and cardiology).
The survey was carried out between November 7, 2024 and January 7, 2025, with 601 doctors working in public and private institutions in the country, in all specialties, and was carried out by Datafolha at the request of Hospital Albert Einstein.
