Released on Tuesday (17/9), the fourth edition of the list of the 500 most influential people in Latin America and the Caribbean by Bloomberg Linea features Brazil with the largest number of representatives. There are 178 names, including medalist Rebeca Andrade, Natura CEO, Fabio Barbosa, Nubank co-founder Cristina Junqueira, the President of Randoncorp, Daniel Randon, the CEO of Gerando Falcões, Edu Lyra, consultant Rachel Maia and the new CEO of WEG, Alberto Kuba, among others.
The survey aims to highlight Latin Americans who have an impact and inspire millions of people with their work and performance in different segments of the economy, capital market business and society, reports Bloomberg Linea. This year, almost 150 new names have been included, reflecting, according to the publication, the dynamism of the region. In this edition, Mexico contributes with 126 names, followed by Argentina, with 59 names, and Colombia, with 57.
Survey methodology
The selection process takes into account a broad analysis covering different factors over the 12 months preceding publication, such as job creation, investments that triggered economic activity, greater influence and inspiration in various sectors such as finance, arts, sciences, sports and the greater representation of women leaders in underrepresented demographic groups. The work is carried out by the editorial team at Bloomberg Línea.
