I had the joy of being honored this Monday (17) with the Farroupilha Medal of Merit, awarded by the Rio Grande do Sul Parliament to people who contribute significantly to the economic, social and cultural development of the State.

The recognition, which I received with deference and emotion, made me reflect on various experiences and learnings that have guided my private and business trajectory. In particular, that actions that have an impact, that truly transform for the better, are the result of the commitment of many, because no one does anything alone.

When long-lived and successful, a company is the result of the dedication of thousands of people and partners who began building its project way back when. In our case, it is the result of a family and people who, over 74 years, were dedicated to doing their best and contributed to the development of the State, the country and an entire ecosystem. All of this is always supported by good social, environmental and governance practices.

In the corporate environment, each award won individually is also a reflection and merit of the effort made by each professional, from each area of the business, who, day in and day out, makes decisions based on firm commitments, such as business sustainability and customer trust. , partners and society. Therefore, I feel gratified, because the recognition reflects a lot of collaboration, engagement, a sense of belonging and acceptance.

“Moving forward becomes more relevant when we are committed to caring for the legacy of the generations that came before us.”

Moving forward, facing daily challenges, but without forgetting the long term, becomes even more relevant when we are committed to safeguarding the legacy of the generations that preceded us in building a winning path. Having firm principles and a clear purpose are strengths for us to build new success stories and new futures with the support of colleagues, friends and family.

The distinction also renews the commitment that I consider not only mine, but that of businesspeople, executives, entrepreneurs and professionals in the private sector to act in an ethical, innovative and efficient manner to generate value for everyone. So, for me, this recognition has the meaning and value of a shared achievement.
